Meet Shawn Ellis

You know how we can get stuck clinging to outdated strategies, toxic habits, or systems that no longer serve us? As a keynote speaker, coach, and consultant, I help people and organizations END what’s holding them back, so they can break free, adapt, and thrive.

Hi, I’m Shawn, and I love holding on...

If I’m honest, I’ve spent a lot of my life holding on:

To outdated business strategies. To underperforming employees. To relationships that had run their course. Even to shirts that went out of style two decades ago.

But here’s what I’ve learned: Every breakthrough begins with an ending. It took me years—and plenty of hard lessons—to truly understand that. Growth doesn’t come from clinging tighter but from letting go of what’s no longer serving us.

Today, I’m a keynote speaker, coach, and consultant who helps people and organizations make those tough decisions: to END the outdated strategies, toxic habits, and limiting beliefs that hold them back—so they can break free, adapt, and thrive.

For over 20 years, I’ve worked with leaders and teams from organizations like CMT, Bridgestone, Freddie Mac, and the Cayman Islands Civil Service College. My 5 C’s to Adapt & Thrive framework—rooted in mindfulness, neuroscience, and psychology—gives audiences the clarity and courage to create the intentional endings they need to unlock their next chapter.

But this isn’t just theory for me—it’s life. As a parent of a neurodivergent child, I’m reminded daily of the power of letting go: of control, of expectations, of the belief that I always have to have the perfect answer. Those lessons shape the way I connect with audiences, bringing empathy, humor, and actionable insights that meet them where they are.

I’ve shared these lessons in my Amazon bestselling book, Mastering the Moments: A Journey of Endings, Beginnings, and the Space In Between. It’s a guide for anyone navigating change, whether in life or work, helping readers embrace transitions as opportunities for growth.

When I’m not on stage or working with clients, you’ll often find me in nature, soaking up the beauty of life’s simplest moments—like our evening family walks or a solo hike. And in the harsh Ohio winters, I remind myself that even the barren seasons serve a purpose: they make room for new beginnings.

So, if you’re ready to let go of what’s holding you back and create the space you need to thrive, I’d love to help you get there. Let’s make your next breakthrough the best one yet.
