Shawn Ellis is an entrepreneur, writer, speaker, and resilience coach who helps business professionals successfully navigate the challenges of life and work in the pursuit of purpose, peace, and prosperity... one moment at a time. 

You might say it was inevitable he would end up doing this work. Shawn grew up with his dad listening to the cassette tapes of Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, and Tony Robbins, and his grandma called him her “little preacher man.” Then after graduating college, Shawn found himself with a front row seat to some of the world’s best advice in personal and professional development as he worked to facilitate live speaking engagements for best-selling authors such as the late Dr. Wayne Dyer, Marcus Buckingham, Marci Shimoff, Patrick Lencioni, Jon Gordon, and many more. He also partnered with these renowned thought leaders as host of “The Better Life/Better Business Podcast,” and as creator of the Good Advice ebook series.

It was not until the stress of his own life and work brought him to the verge of burnout that he found the courage and conviction to speak up with his own message, however. 

Faced with the increasing demands of life as an entrepreneur, business owner, caregiver and new father, Shawn, like many entrepreneurs and business leaders, thought the only solution was learning to “do more, faster.” What he soon realized, however, was that this approach was not helping him create a better business, and certainly not a better life. Quite the opposite. 

This sparked a time of deep introspection and exploration of the fields of mindfulness, neuroscience, and psychology, which led to a seemingly paradoxical discovery: the only sustainable way to “keep up” is by slowing down. By taking things one moment at a time. That is the key to a better life, and a better life is key to a better business. 

Today, Shawn is on a mission to rescue fellow business professionals from the road to burnout, and he writes, speaks, and coaches to share some of the same transformational lessons he has learned—and continues to learn—so they, too, may “live a better life and build a better business.” 

Shawn’s programs have been attended by professionals from companies such as Panera Bread, ING Americas, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Panera Bread, Unisys Corp and others. His presentations have been called “a breath of fresh air,” leaving attendees feeling “refreshed” and “super focused.”
